Recently Darren Rowes of problogger.net launched a premium forum for bloggers ( problogger.com). I was surprised that he offered the membership of only $1.95 a month.
I singed up as soon as I heard the news and I believe it’s worth much more than that. The community is getting close to 2000 member strong. The first advantage of a fee-based forum is that usually do not get spammers flooding the message boards. Only interested bloggers who want to learn and share their experience are part of the community. I have made some new contacts, have had my blog reviewed and learned some great new tips about monetization and blogging. The community is growing and Darren is definitely going to increase the membership fee. He mentioned on Twitter that once the community reaches 2000 members he will end the introduction price. So if you have been thinking of joining a forum to learn and share your ideas about blogging this is a great opportunity. Not only the membership fee is so low you also have the option to cancel your membership if you don’t like the forum. But I am sure once you get involved with the community you will see that it’s well worth the fee.
Some of the benefits of being a member of this community are:
- Motivation and encouragement from fellow bloggers to help you get to the next level.
- Opportunity to promote your blog.
- Learn new tricks and tips about blogging from pro-bloggers.
- Make new friends and contacts
- Have other bloggers critique on your blog.
- Collaborate with other bloggers. Make blogging-buddies to write guest posts on one another’s blogs.
- Network with well known bloggers
I am glad that I joined the forum, it is helping me in keeping on track of my blogging goals. I’d like you to follow me and almost 2000 other bloggers and join the forum.
Here is the link to get you started.
Hope to see you all on the forum.
P.S. This is not a paid-for post. I am not getting any benefit from Darren or ProBlogger. It is my personal and honest recommendation.
